Battery disposal

The following information is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and do not resell them in the form in which they were delivered (end users):

1. Taking back spent batteries free of charge

Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure that they are disposed of properly. You can hand in used batteries at a municipal collection point or at local retailers. As a distributor of batteries, we are also obliged to take back old batteries, whereby our obligation to take back old batteries is limited to old batteries of the type that we carry or have carried in our range as new batteries. Old batteries of the aforementioned type can therefore either be returned to us sufficiently stamped or handed in free of charge directly at the following address:

Lifestyle Delights GmbH
Theatinerstr. 40-42
D-80333 München
Germany

2. Battery symbols

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out dustbin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 mass percent of mercury, more than 0.002 mass percent of cadmium or more than 0.004 mass percent of lead, the chemical designation of the respective pollutant is located under the dustbin symbol - where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.
